Hatteras Zippo Lighter

I bought the $20.00 Hat Zippo on Ebay I was the only person who bid.
Gonna do a total refit over the winter

if you find you bit off more than you can chew call me. I will give you $17.50 for it if all the hard work is done.

There's a guy in town that replaces the old style wick with a carbon fiber/goretex/hemp version that supposedly burns cleaner and has a calming effect.

For a better than new restoration you really need to take it to a good plating shop. They can chrome plate that baby and put 24K gold on the Hatteras emblem. That is the only way to do it justice. Anything else would just be considered routine maintenance.

When everything quiets down

Once everyone stopped talking about them, these lighters didn't command that much of a premium. My wife heard me talking about these WAY back when and picked this up for 15 bucks on eBay a couple months later.

Very true, I have been the recipient of an item worth more than $100, much more, and I have donated items to a worthy HOG member worth more than $100. And this isn't an unusual happening here.

Sorry just saw the photo. I have an out fit that can in grave or print the logo for 10.00. Would be nice to own an original though, and I have never smoked. Good luck in the saw buck.
