I'd wait for the results of the fluid analysis before I went to that much trouble. That of course assumes the survey comes back clean and the flame test goes well. Could be a good cadidate for a butane repower. Then begs the question, would propane be a better option?WRT to Classic Hatt Zippo's - be sure to completely flush the fuel resevoir. Some of that fuel has been in there for a long time and probably is full a asphetine and algae. I think RACOR has a small prefilter that can prevent reoccurance.
You DON"T want to be caught out in the middle of nowhere without a means to light your smokes.
Who knows what's best as a flushing agent? Marvel M Oil, AFT or brake cleaner? One guys used starting fluid once and upon performing a function test, spent the next hour looking for his cigerette and eyebrows.
