Hatteras Owners School

There aren't flights to Raleigh from New Bern, you either go to Charlotte or Atlanta. I think there is at least one other attendee from the Raleigh area. Check with Kendra. Allow at least a three hour drive from JB to RDU. It can take less sometimes if you are lucky.

Thanks George. I'll have him give her a call.

Roger -

My wife and I were not able to make the May 2010 school but would be very interested in any subsequent schools. I assume the school would still be relevant for the owners of an "oldie but a goodie" like our 1968 50 ' Hatteras motoryacht?

I am flying into and out of R/D, from Chicago. Sunday the 16th I land at 2:55p.m. and on the 19th I have a flight out at 6:55 pm, so I can give anyone a ride that will get into a car with me.

That would work out great. I'll let Ted know. He leaves out of there at 7:30pm.

I just changed my flight on Sunday and now arrive at 11:50 am instead of 2:55, in case anyone needs a ride on Sunday.

Thanks, but I can pick up Ted on his way in on Sunday. He just needs the ride back there on Wednesday.

Re: 2010 Hatteras Owners School

Somebody picked up the old "Hatteras Owner's University" thread from last year! It would be helpful if we kept this year's posts all on this one thread relevant to 2010.

I may be able to come over to New Bern from JB (where my boat will be) and pick some folks up. I have been giving some thought to bringing the boat from New Bern (current home port) to JB Sunday afternoon and transporting folks via boat. Anyone up for that?

George,

let me find out the timing for our drive. But I would not count on it at this point. I would love to though

George - If your still thinking of running your boat on Sunday afternoon - I'm real handy with lines and bumpers, and would be happy to "help out". I land in New Bern at 12:15pm Sunday afternoon. Not sure where / how far your boat is docked from the airport, but I could get a cab over. Otherwise, I'll be either taking a cab over to Beaufort, or looking to hitch a ride.

Also - anyone staying the the Beaufort Inn that might have room for a lift over to Jarrett Bay BW Monday morning for class?

I (Michael) will be at the Beaufort Inn Sunday night and would be happy to give you a ride Monday morning.

Thanks Michael - I appreciate that. I'll take you up on it!

I am about 5 minutes from the airport, now that the bridge over the Trent is done. No problem coming to pick any one up, or its no more than a $10 cab ride. I thought it might be fun for some who haven't done it to make the cruise almost all Hatts made as their maiden voyage. It's about a 3 hours +/- to Jarrett Bay at the speeds I run.

Anyone that needs a ride Monday Morning just get up with us at the Inn.Should be there Sunday afternoon. We will also bring the bar with soft drinks for those so inclined and the drinks will be on us.We are looking forward to putting faces to this forum.Robby and Brenda 251-610-2611.

I am driving to the class and will have my car to carry up to 3 people.

Sounds great. Count me in. George - you have a time that you'll be at the boat, or a cell to reach you once I land. Again, depending on when you want to leave - I will be at the airport at 12:15 (assuming all goes to plan with Continental)! My cell is 216-346-3371. Anything I can bring?

I'm flying in on the 16th (to New Bern, I think ... booking flights today, if there are any seats left) and out on the 19th. I'll have a car.

I'll be arriving at 10 PM on the 16th into New Bern and will have a car. Anyone needing a ride give me a call 203 627 8345.

Re: UPDATE: Hatteras Owners School

Well this is fast approaching so I thought I'd confirm a few things.

Top Hatt: I'll give you a call and pick you up at the airport.

"Incentive" is currently scheduled to leave New Bern for Jarrett Bay at around 1PM Sunday. If on schedule, we should get to JB around 4:30ish. I'll be happy to pick anyone up at the airport who wants to come along. The boat is at the Galley Store Marina, 300 E. Front St. New Bern NC 28560. My cell phone # is 817 944 2708. Virtually every boat on this list made its sea trials and maiden voyage along this route.

I plan to return to New Bern immediately after classes end on Wednesday. I understand from Roger that there is a lot of vendor interest and that bonus classes may be available. Otherwise the schedule calls for classes to end at 1pm. I have a business trip first thing Thursday morning.

Noel and Tom (ez2beme) are confirmed overnight boarders.

In addition to floating class room (or "what's wrong with this picture?" exhibit), I am happy to make the boat available for evening gatherings, including Sunday's semi planned event, if I translated the party thread in "Everything Else" correctly. Bring the party with you, there is plenty of ice and drinking glasses aboard. Just let me know, or just show up anyway!

I'll arrive at Beaufort Inn Sunday evening and will have room for 3 passengers on Monday morning and thereafter.
