Please don't take offense to this but I stopped checking this forum when Freebird was flying out of control. Never complained to anyone or did anything to try and get you banned. Biggest problem was too many post and never staying on topic. I never found Freebird offensive or overly rude and abrassive. Sparky1 has become a great contributor to this site. I think you should pick the name that you prefer. Maybe make it Freebird/Sparky1 for those who don't know the whole story. Maybe there is away to change the Sparky1 post to Freebird post to avoid confusion. Maybe you could change it to Sybil! Just kidding. Either way its good to have you here. FWIW I never read a Freedird thread or post that was as offensive or insulting as many I see here now.

OOPS! I completely missed this earlier Jack and wasn't avoiding you. Something about a poll popped up after my last post, so I went back to the first page to see if I'd missed something. No offense taken at all as I'll be the first to admit I got a bit carried away in the beginning, but it was all Pascal's fault. LOL

Wow, I was out of town today and it took me about 20 minutes to get caught up here. I do remember calling you out, Randy, when Sherrylynne first posted here. It was a joke, of course, but I often wondered if that was what gave you the idea of posting under other screennames. Fess up now and tell us how many other names you've used. I know there are more.

As for the original topic, I like Sparky. He's a totally different contributor than Freebird.

Anyways, it really doesn't matter. You have proven yourself to be a good guy who has a little problem with multiple personalities...who cares?!?!

Also, as you have brought up, the environment and tolerance level here has changed a lot over the past year. Things are allowed to go much farther than before. I think if Freebird had shown up recently instead of when he (you) did, he would not have been noticed any more than a pimple on a giant's arse!!!

Oh yeah, I vote to let you do whatever you want to do as far as your screen name goes.

Oh Sherrylynne was real. That is true. The joke was that she had praised ole Freebird so much that I posed the question as to whether or not she was just another screenname for Freebird himself. I knew that was not the case, I was just poking a little fun at Randy at the time.

OK, let me get caught up a bit. Yes, sherrylynne was/is very real, and she had her very first post on this forum deleted because somebody thought I was playing a trick on the membership. I must admit that made me very angry as I had encouraged her to jump in and post having swapped a few PM's with her.

I explained how and why things happened with Sparky, and there would simply be no other reason for me to have more usernames. I will confess one additional username which I never posted under or even logged in as. Truth is, I forgot my damn password and had signed up on sombody else's computer! It was nothing sinister as Passages and I (sorry to rat you out Jim ) were going to play a little scam on you guys. This after he too found himself on the receiving end of the old zapper... this simply for posting a picture of a fish he caught along with a hippie-looking deckhand on the boat he was on.

Like Kevin said, had I shown up a year or two later and somebody else had paved the way for The Sandbar, I would have looked like a boy scout. A redneck boy scout maybe, but a boy scout nonetheless. I'm just glad this place is past the point where it was unacceptable to talk about cruising on one's Hatteras or even thanking another member for helping find a slip for one. Offering a member encouragement where a heath issue was concerned was also considered improper by the powers who zapped. Thank goodness we're past that as well.

OK, I've said my bit, and I'm glad the HOF has come as far as it has. I'm also happy to have been a small part of it. You're a great group of guys and gals... most of you anyway.

Since meeting Randy a couple of years ago we (Monica & I) have found him to be a fine, intelligent Southern Gentleman. We consider it an honor having him as a friend and as we have told him in the past, he is always welcome on our boat.

In response to Krush's post about yankees etc... Krush do you know the difference between a yankee and a damn yankee? A yankee comes to visit but a damn yankee stays.

Back to Randy......use the Sparky or Freebird name,it doesn't matter since we all know it's you. Matter of fact why not just use something like RANDYTWOHATTS ? It kind of goes well with your Cherokee heritage.
