Well, if it makes any of you feel any better, I was contacted by a guy who claimed he had looked at that boat before this guy bought it. It had been on the market (Craigslist) for quite some time, and the price had been reduced to $9K. I assume this to be true as the guy would have no reason to make this up. He said the boat needed a ton of work, and that the sellers definitely unloaded it on this guy. I guess that's good news in that surely to God, the number of people who have taken an interest in this (here and elsewhere) can raise enough to at least get him back to where he was.
It amazes me how many people have chosen to criticize this guy for all his "mistakes" vs having some compassion for a fellow boater. I'm proud it hasn't happened here, but some of the comments from other sources make me question my fellow man. I mean boaters are known for helping other boaters, right? Hopefully the next video we see will be of him and his grandkids fishing on another boat.
