Hey Scrod
I really appreciate the mention! Again, I really feel bad that I didn't have the opportunity to spend more time with everyone. I also have to offer Nick a big apology to for all of the confusion my group caused regarding the number of people, buffet vs. paying people/kids etc. The restaurant seemed to be quite confused with out table & charged Nick for two buffet dinners when they actually paid for what they ordered off of the menu. Then there was a bit of nastiness with a misplaced sweater (thank to those who brought it back to the marina!) but that's between our friends and the restaurant.
Aside of those minor issues, once I thought I'd be able to actually sit with everyone after dinner & do what we all excel in (docktails), I had the wonderful task of repairing not one but two heads that mysteriously stopped working the moment we got back from dinner. I hoped to get one fixed & get over to you guys but as I loosened the first hose clamp, all I can say is "explosive decompression". I wonder if anyone saw me on the end of the dock holding a hose over my head, fully clothed?
I fixed the problem, took a shower, got dressed & as I was about to walk out when I noticed it was nearly 2 a.m. Exhausted from two weeks of the major repairs and the insanity of getting everything back together literally in 24 hours & getting to Greenport, I was asleep before my head hit the pillow.
Looking forward to the next time!

BTW, I have to give CTdave a lot of credit for his over-the-top effort to make the trip and how the persistence paid off in his 11th hour arrival. I think a few people lost money on that bet.
There is another rendezvous every year and I hope we have a better chance to spend some time with you in the future.
