No need to call the marina. Once you enter the harbor on July 31 hail "Brewers Stirling Harbor Marina" for the slipassignment. Brewer's monitors channel 9. There are two marinas Brewers Yacht Yard and Brewers Stirling Harbor Marina. Make sure to hail Stirling.

This weekend is the Hatteras Owners Forum Northeast Rendezvous at Stirling Harbor.

Our out of town friends are coming in on Friday July 31. We look forward to seeing all of you!

I suggest as a get together we have a kickoff BBQ Friday evening. Bring something for the grill around 6;30-7:00 and John S. Jonnelle and I will cook it, or bring a prepared app or dish for the evening on E DOCK! NO fast food like Popeyes!!!!

Looks like a very nice weekend and a very nice party!! Sorry that Cloud Nine's crew has a wedding in Toronto and we will miss you Karen and Sev!

We're leaving in about 10 hours from Mamensha straight to Greenport. Really looking forward to seeing everyone! Been a great 2 weeks cruising with the family. Derrick, the turbos are working great!

We pushed back our start a day due to weather, but will still make cocktail hour. Really looking forward to seeing everybody.

Howdy gang!
So we got the new prop shaft in this morning & as the travel lift set up around the boat, we went to install the new props. Unfortunately the prop hubs were 2" longer than the originals & was WAY too close to the struts (1/8th inch).
At 3 pm, I spoke with Steve from S&S Propeller & he said to get my ass down there. An hour later, the props were going onto the machine & at 8, he called to say they were done, balanced and ready to go.
I got home at 10 & with some ingenuity (2x4s and a few blocks), I lifted the 36' 5 blade Nibral's onto the shafts. They will be set & tightened in the morning, then when the tide gets high enough around 12 or so, I'll be on the way to Greenport!
I spoke with the Marina & all is well. If all goes to plan, I'll be there around 4

If you haven't been to one of these things you are really missing something. You'd be hard pressed to find better company than this crowd.

Kudos to Nick for another Great NE Rendezvous! Also to you Doug at Sams Marine for the finest T-shirt in m my fleet to date.

Wish I could have spent more time talking to you guys, but I'm not one to complain. Just being in the presence of such a great group of people make it all worth it. I couldn't have ended our 2 week family vacation any better then by being with you guys.

ps: Scrod - did you guys catch anything (other then a buzz) on the way back?

No, but while trolling we almost hit a 5 ft. Hammerhead. It was just loafing along on the surface in front of us and so help me, as God is my witness if I hadn't pulled the boat out of gear we'd have run it over.

I used to think they we're called Hammerheads because of the shape of their head, but now I think it's because they're as dumb as a bag of hammers.

Saw a whale too.

BTW, don't rely on your cell phone camera if you go on a whale watching trip.

BTW, I have to give CTdave a lot of credit for his over-the-top effort to make the trip and how the persistence paid off in his 11th hour arrival. I think a few people lost money on that bet.

There is another rendezvous every year and I hope we have a better chance to spend some time with you in the future.
