There is access on the hanging locker floor and on the upper port side of the locker. You should be able to reach around from the upper port side access. I'm too old for motor lifting so went this route:

I've had great luck/experience with Rustoleum Professional. Sticks to everything even if you don't get 100% clean and oil free. And most important, relatively inexpensive. Used on both engine and bilge in picture.

The aft fan plumbing was a little trickier. Both fans pull air from near the shower sumps.
