I ordered new fittings from them and there is nothing available except SAE straight thread (7/8-14) with o ring seal to JIC fitting. Can't find 7/8-14 straight thread with o ring on one side to -10 45 degree SAE flare anywhere. There may be nothing more annoying than pipe and tube sizing!

So I am doing all SAE but the inlet and outlet for the Racors only come JIC, it seems, so that is where the issue is, to me. The hose shops say that it doesn’t matter.

If I am understanding you correctly, my flybridge gauges were not all electronic, the gear pressure gauges were still mechanical up top.

Most all of my boat projects are centered around making things more easily accessible for when they need to be fixed next time.

I think if it is 1/4” too big it won’t clamp down enough, I would stretch it, personally. My raw water pipes are 2” copper, which is 2-1/8” OD. They had 2” hose on there, no problem at all.

I don't know what other folks think about this, but my insurance will only do $500k in liability, but, the coverage does meet the guidelines to be included under my umbrella policy.

Also, that strainer on the outside is probably screwed onto the hull over top of a regular through hull.
