I've sold a bunch of raritan toilets and never had that happen. Also i sell mostly 24 volt units and when necessary convert from 32. 12 volt has too much loss on larger boats. Ut what would I know about this.
Not to be a total meanie but
Outback is out of the business or close to being out of the business.
32 volt units are dinosaurs and not worth fixing.
I sell almost 100% victron systems because that's what works.
Cut your losses and move to a modern and more integrated system.
1) lead acid batteries are too energy inefficient when charging.
2) Lead acid 8 volt batteries are becoming less available.
3) repairs depend on available parts and technicians which are becoming scarce.
We remove so many old...
I can't be sure of the sump but the lights should be replaced with the ones that fit a range. We use imtra lights for most of out customers and they range from 12 to 40 volts usually. I can install them in almost any boat and the power supplies from ac to dc work great too.
Someone please show me where 4 or 8 more batteries would go in their 53/58 motoryacht. There's no room for storage of a 2 liter soda bottle forget a bunch of big batteries. Also how do they get charged in 1970 technology?
I have to say the cruisair units have titanium exchangers and run great. Installed correctly I've not seen issues. Installed by id10t technicians plenty of problems.
Many boats have the switches changed to add 1/2/ both switches to allow the batteries to be set to parallel. Not my favorite way but it could work in some instances.
Later boats use multi bank switches for the ability to choose what batteries provide power to what device. We also use them...
We have customers with solar and inverters who live like they're at a dock. They run the generator 2 x a day for about an hour and a half. Making water and cooking while on the genny. One spends 4 to 6 weeks between landings tor resupply of food and such.
One has 5 ac systems. Another 7 smaller...
There's a breaker between shore power and the generator on the panel. There should not be any connection between the shore power to trip the breaker.
It's probably as simple as the breaker doing what it's supposed to do. Shuting down when the power goes beyond the safe window of voltage and...
Re: What’s everyone’s plan on the west coast Florida?
Holy crap even us on the east coast are going to get slammed. We are looking at the worst storm to ever hit our area even though it's coming from the other coast.
Good luck to all in the path. Many will be off the coast but hit harder then...
Thank God the lights don't get hot and even burn up with higher voltage. What is safe? What is worth saving a few dollars?
What is with people that take these chances?
I like the wall of bass boat battery chargers and all the creative solutions that were never finished.
$1,000.00 if they deliver it here on its own power. Other than that it's worthless and a shame.
Sonar style maretron. We configured and program them and they work great.
No moving parts. No sensors in the tank. Just a puck at the top that's where the old sender was.
Probably good for poop tanks too.
Add a water flow sensor but don't put anything in there that will tear off a d screw up the pump.
Most new generations have a simple flow sensor after the raw water pump. They can easily be added.
Retail on new 24k btu DQX condenser with titanium coils is about $6k. 2 12k evaporators about $3k for the pair. Compared to lesser brands I didn't see a big delta in price. Maybe the evil empire isn't so bad.
Service and support from a great vendor I work with often is worth it too.
