  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
53' MOTOR YACHT (1969 - 1988)
As some of you know I replaced all of the galley maid heads and pumps with new Raritan elegance comfort height. Turns out that only one of the three would actually suck toilet paper and waste and water with no issues. After working with Raritan, they sent me two new motors to replace the existing motors thinking that they were wired up as 24 V instead of 12 V. After removing the new toilets and taking out the motors, we found that there were no chopping blades in the motors. Once we replace the motors everything works perfectly. The reason I posted this is because there may be more Raritan products out there without the chopper blade in it. Something went wrong in their quality control. Keep your eyes open.

I replaced my vacuflush with Elegance last winter.....hmmmmm. As far as I know they are chopping. ;) Good info to know. For me, its one of the best things I have upgraded on my boat. Right there with my Head Hunter fresh water pump.

I've sold a bunch of raritan toilets and never had that happen. Also i sell mostly 24 volt units and when necessary convert from 32. 12 volt has too much loss on larger boats. Ut what would I know about this.
