Every time I visit this forum (almost daily) and read the technical threads, I either learn valuable new Hat related info or see something that causes me to reconsider things I have done or are doing. Can't overstate how valuable this has been to me and I have been boating for over 50 years.
WRT the sandbox, I enjoy hearing what others think and don't take any of it personal. I don't go to any other forums, and do find it interesting to hear what successful people (i.e. Hat owners) think about things. Karl's market "gloom and doom" a two years ago made me re-think some investment strategies (got out of stocks with the DJIA around 14,000, and saved me from huge $ losses), so I for one don't mind the "off topic" stuff as long as it remains polite, constructive and doesn't tke away from the technical (or cause issues for our great sponsor).
Thanks to Sams, the moderators, and all the members for this great site which reminds me over and over that the Penn/Dutch have it right when they say, "too soon old, and too late smart".
Best Regards, Bob K
