Considering the cost of teak, I imagine this is not an instance of what someone thinks looks good, but of what they think looks expensive. The burden of excessive wealth.

While we are on the topic, this was my very first boat. Also probably my last wooded boat. 1957 CC Capri 19. She was in the hospital for 18 months, during which time I discovered the convenience of fiberglass.

I'll make the effort to put the story together in the next couple of weeks. She's stripped back at present. I have added, reverse chine & lifting strakes to the hull and will be updating the top too as well as the cabin and systems.

She'll be back in the water later this year.
