Bill, I am curious now that Vincent asked about a list. What are you guys thinking of, a preliminary list of who plan to attend or a list of actual attendees from the event?

We could do a sign-in sheet where owners list their names, boat name/year/model and also have a box to check off if their boat is present at the rendezvous.

Hatteras owners often travel with an entourage, so a significant head count is to be expected but it will be interesting to see how many are owners rather than guests. It's going to be fun!

byron, i like the idea of a sign/guest list as people show up. i have hats and huggies from sams marine for each boat that is present. bigbill

we are up to 14 registered boats......i got some goodies in the mail from sams today.... gulf coast hatteras is going to have the shrimp ready about 2:00pm, and they are working on some stuff for the boats participating..... i will have a sign up sheet for everybody attending.. bigbill

Bill, forgive me if this has already been posted, but can you post an event schedule as it relates to times on Friday & Saturday?

We'll be coming down on Friday afternoon unless there's something going on earlier in the day. If that's the case, we may head out late Thursday afternoon and drive as far as Montgomery or so.

nothing scheduled for friday except welcoming some boats in, and helping them get settled.[i'm sure there will be some of that drinkin and tellin lies goin on]. saturday is the main day, start visiting with people in the AM until the shrimp are ready, then we can eat as a group, then back to drinkin and visiting, until you drop. at least that is how i see it. everybody please sign in when you get here. i will have a sign up sheet at my boat. MIS B' HAVIN slip 87. bigbill

Maybe I'll just make Friday my offical beach day with the boy. Funny, the name of my first twin engine cruiser was Miss Behavin'.

Well we got to meet Bill and his pretty Lady last Sat and we had a great time.See you next Friday.Robby and Bren

got a call earlier today, we might have another 53c coming to the rendezvous. will post any updates as i get them. bigbill

just a few guidelines for the upcoming rendezvous. do not board any boats without the owners permission, don't pick on randy,[sparky1, freebird] too much, don't give todd[capt. tobb] too much hell about his viking, they are both really nice guys. every boat please bring a covered dish, or snack. and PLEASE, THANK OUR SPONSORS....THE WHARF, SAMS MARINE, AND GULF COAST HATTERAS. this would not have been as nice of an event without thier help. thanks, bigbill.......anybody have anything else to add, please feel free to do so.

Hello all old salts from the past, sorry I read back a few pages but didn't see the date and location can you re-post it??

BubbAmigo!!! You gotta come man, especially since you missed FLIBS for the past two years. Date is this Saturday at The Wharf in Orange Beach at the west end of the Redneck Riviera. Haul it on up here... we've got some catching up to do. I'll even put you up on the couch in the condo Ryan and I are in.

Hey, where I come from, if nobody picks on you, that means they don't like you. :D

Speaking of picking (and grinning), I'll be sure to bring some good ole' Southern tunes for ya'll. I'll pack up some Skynyrd CD's (of course) and some other such stuff. Heck rumor has it you're into Nine Inch Nails, so maybe I'll try to find something from them as well.

Nothing wrong with southern rock, a little Jimmy Buffet not bad either.
Bigbill dont forget the IPOD.....

bigbill please give Rob and Bren a call 251-454-8692 we would llike to give you guys a hand -- maybe fix some food or something

Randy,

By "southern" music, do you mean country? I'd rather hear nails on a blackboard than listen to country music. I guess I'll stay home. :D

Nope, the only thing I detest more than country is rap. Does that mean you're coming now?

If so, I'll see if I can borrow a copy of David Allen Coe's X-rated album. That should work if we can't find somebody to rake their nails on a blackboard. :D

You hit the nail on the head regarding country. Even though you won't be playing it, though, I still won't be able to make it down there. Have fun and don't forget to post some pictures.

I've got my camera packed, and Ryan has his Crayons. One way or the other, there will be pictures. Man, these old lungs are ready for some salt air.

Somehow I just have a feeling that this is going to really be a great rendezvous. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I think there is going to something to talk about after this one. Have fun and we'll all look forward to some great pictures.
