I am so sorry that it didnt work out for your group. I am on the lap top so I will post pictures next week. The only Hatts will be jmencel and seahorse. We are on the Roamer and have a friend with us on his carver.

We ended up holeing up at Northport because of the weather. we are heading out at o dark thirty to go the last 40 miles tomorrow. wish you could of made it but keep next year in mind...ppat

Well, it doesnt look like we are going to make it either. I am ready to head home. We left Northport this morning and by the time we got to the lake we were getting rolled by 5-7 footers. After about an hour of bouncing around we headed towards Charlivous (sp) and it took us 3 hours to get here which is only 15-20 miles.

Hey Ppat ... we didn't make it either ... but we were close. We came through the Straits of MacKinaw with big seas on our nose that then shifted to our beam. After seeing all the loose stuff flying around inside we decided to take a run down the coast and are now in Leyland. Had difficulty getting internet access. Anyways .. everything is good and I have learned that these are really tough boats. I am amazed how well a smaller Hatt like ours can handle some pretty big stuff ... as long as we hang on !!

Our plans are now to head south tomorrow towards Chicago along the Michigan side of the lake. Thanks for the offer of an escort but we have decided to stay on this side for now. Safe travels
