I'm getting ready to start my 36c galley up also, here's what I have planned. On the starboard side a recessed flat screen lcd with flush mounted SAT and DVD units directly below. On the port side a flush mounted convection/microwave, recessed coffee maker, and storage. I'm also going to redirect A/C airflow from the single 18Kbtu "blaster" to dual built in outflows at each upper corner. That should improve circulation and quite the flow noise. I'm aware of the risk flush mounting expendable appliances only to find no units down the road that will fit the same hole. I'll add some buffer space to help and I just may buy a second convection/micro while they are still available and put it in the attic, buying a second lcd makes no sense as technology/price will be vastly different in only a few years. Am I missing anything?
Thanks for everybody's input so far!!!!
I met with the guy doing the woodwork and here's what we "tentatively" came up with today....
On Port Side:
* 6" matching Corian Counter in front of cabinets
* 32" Flat Screen mounted Up High at slight "inward" angle, with Direct TV receiver & cabinet below TV and also cabinet to right of TV on an angle.
* A/C outlet and controller mounted to left of TV
* Open style cabinet in back with access to it from stairwell
Stbd Side:
* 10" matching Corian Counter in front of cabinets
* Smaller home style stereo mounted low with small bar/glass hanger mounted high in cabinet with black plexiglass doors.
Other:
* Microwave/convection will be mounted above fridge
* I like your idea of twin outlets for the A/C!
* Indirect LED lights above both side windows and across front
* Keeping/Mounting starter buttons/keys above electrical panel.
* Changing out black countertop to white/brown/black Corian with undermount sink
* Decided to ditch carpet and teak/holly the floor while we are at it
* The darn post where all the bridge wiring runs is the biggest hinderence
Did I forget anything???
Thanks
