Detroit Diesels - Anyone see this before?

Looks like Rust-Oleum Sand, could be almond, but most likely sand.

The original color on my engines were a John Deere green color. I use white engine paint these days.

Everything is back together and no drips/leaks.

Now for the hard part...

Trying to find the paint to match. Did DD use tan paint on their engines? Did Hatteras paint them tan? Anyone know of a paint that matches (see 1st post for pictures)? I'm off to Homedepot to get some paint chip samples.

Covington had their own beige paint color. Not DDC green or white. You could call Western Branch, the last owners of Covington and ask for a color code.

Did we settle on the actual paint code for Covington original color? My engines look closest to Rustoleum Navajo White, prepping for a repaint. I tried to get my local big box paint center to tint Rustoleum Industrial Gloss White to Navajo white and they refused to do that. I can get a gallon in Almond though that seems too dark.

Check out Rustoleum Canvas White. That was a perfect match for other things painted white in our boat. Not sure what was original on the engines as someone repainted them.

I use Navajo white on my Kohler generators , Krylon gloss almond on the engines.

Thanks for replies. Followup for completion: I purchased the Rustoleum Professional Gloss White tinted to Navajo White by asking around. Lowes and Home Depot have a "no tint policy with Rustoleum paints" but True Value has no issue. Second Lowes Store paint manager tinted it in the end.
