We just finished installing our new copper risers. Paul @ Marine Manifolds (marinemanifolds.com) made them. He really did a nice job. We paid $3200 for all four units. I am very happy to be rid of those awful cast iron may pops that we had. Everyone tells us the iron ones should last between 4 and 7 years in salt water. If you push them too far you ruin an engine. Ours had been in salt water since October of 2006. Sounds like Russian Roulette to me. These copper replacements should last forever. We ran the boat on Biscayne Bay today and they seemed to perform flawlessly.
