Remember that Reed Yacht sales will be there on Saturday afternoon to represent Hatteras.....should prove to be interesting.

We should do a meet and greet between say 2-5 pm on Saturday. Show off our yachts and meet fellow HOF'ers. Bill and I should be there early. Possibly by 9 or 10 am.

Bill, I will be calling the marina next week to see how to get us all put together. I will then post the information here and on my site. i know that we are planning on being there fairly early on Saturday. Reed Yachts sales will be there on Saturday evening I believe...will check with them also to get ETA. Where are you guys staying?

Now then, what does everyone want to do about dinner on Saturday? I say we should do a pot luck and everyone bring a dish. Does that sound agreeable? ppat

Usually with those potlucks, there is a meat or main dish and everyone else just brings salads and deserts. What do you think? Should we all chip in to get some sort of main dish or should we just bring our own meat for grilling? I know the local YC has a "steak fry" where everyone brings their own steak. That's one idea but I'm open to whatever.

I think bringing a side dish to share and everyone bring their own meat to grill sounds pretty good.

It turns out the Michigan City Boat Show is on Thursday, August 19th – Sunday, August 22nd which is the same weekend as your Hatteras Rendezvous. I did not read the part in your earlier email (below) that you needed to move the dates from the 14th & 15th to the 20th & 21st. I had mentioned to the first person I spoke with about your event that if it were to fall on the same dates as the Michigan City Boat Show we would not be able to attend. When you asked me via email on May 12th I was still thinking it was the weekend of the 14th & 15th. I just saw the error when I did a search for your earlier emails to contact you about any updates. I had not received anything since May.



If you are still having your event please let me know how many will be in attendance. I will see if I can get some party favors (maybe Hatteras hats?) to send as a gift from Reed Yacht Sales.



Sorry for the short notice but I just saw the error and had not received any updates. Cabo Yachts just sent me a new 36 Express last week and they want us to work it at the show along with brokerage and Hatteras. Cabo is now part of Hatteras Yachts.



Please email or call me with any questions. Again, I am sorry for the confusion. I was looking forward to meeting all of you. I would still like to send some Hatteras hats if you would like them.

35 Hats (not yachts) are on there way to Sky! We should have them in time for the get together. We should all send an e-mail to Brent Reed and thank him for the generous gift. Maynard....hope you can make it....we will probably take off Sunday morning depending on how the sub handles the crossing.
Only FOUR MORE DAYS!!!! Technically its 5 but we leave Friday!!! With no generator yet...how do I keep food cold? I have a cooler and was going to fill it with ice and keep my stuff in it. I may make my potato salad after we get to Grand Haven. My daughter is in charge of the Brownies!!!
What kind of grills do they have? Do we need to bring charcoal?
We are looking forward to meeting everyone and seeing all the Hatts!
Sky will be bringing 4-5 other Hatts from his marina...hi Mark!!! Plus us, Chris?, Akin?, rbeta and Dan and Mary. That is possibly 11 Hatts plus by car Maynard, Stratplan 61, Spartonboat, Trojan Bill and Howard man Hatt'n...this promises to be a great first get together!!!

The big slips are on the west end of the marina and the pavilion and grills are near the east end. I believe they are charcoal grills but I never really paid much attention to them before. If a few of us throw in a bag of charcoal, we should have that covered.
