Thanks for all the photos guys, it's wonderful to see your HATTS in the water and especially nice to see your well kept boats in action. It provides an opportunity to study these models alot further than just looking at listings on YW, etc.
It would also be interesting and a learning experience to view these yachts on the hard, in the yard, to fully appreciate its hull designs and working gear so I started another thread entitled "Hard Hatts", if owners would be so kind as to post there as well it would be appreciated by anyone doing some research.

Thanks George for the memory refresh-it was Vero Municipal.

Not a Hatt, but a design from another Great Naval Architect- Tom Fexas.

Pictured here is my Cheoy Lee 58 Motor Yacht 1989- with DD8V92TI's anchored in the Grenadines ( Sandy Island, just off Carriacou Is., Grenada)
She's similar in design to the Hatteras 58MY in layout, but has that signature Fexas look.

This site has been an amazing resource! I don't think any other manufactuer has such a great resource nor are their vessels as well documented as Hatteras.

Proud owner of a new (to us - 1985) 85' (!!) extended 72'MY wide cabin. Purchased in Newport Beach in December of 2009, drove her down to San Diego for a haul-out and some minor refurb, then brought her up to the Bay Area last month. 12V71TI's, Naiad Stabilizers, Water Maker, twin 25kw gensets, main deck Jacuzzi. Steam room, office and fitness center were the add-ons (took out the aft two VIP staterooms). Also stripped all the white paint out of the master stateroom and veneered with cherry leaving teak highlights. And NO, we could never afford an 85' Hat in the "real world," but this was a bank owned boat that was way too cheap (inexpensive?) to pass up. We're on cloud 9, and very, very blessed.
