I do all of the above. But I also block off exhaust at water line with little play ball that you can pump up. Helps keeps cold air getting to engines. Also after blowing all lines out I put pink thru the lines then blow that out too.

What is the Diameter of the exhaust outlets on my Hatteras 53? Somebody 'borrowed' my small beach balls last winter when it was on the hard.

Had them installed when the boat was in RI several years ago. Been living on board for the last 5 years in NC. I keep an eye on the forecast low and will turn them on at bed time and off when I get up. Running both non stop will cost about $14/day! I also run them for a few hours before I start up in the winter.
