I am wanting to polish the shower stalls in my 53 and was planning to use Finesse-It. However, in the master/guest shower, the flat portion of the stall, just below the water control handle is heavily water-spotted and the Finesse It won't polish them out, at least not with the amount of effort I can exert by hand in a reasonable time period. I don't have a power buffer and don't care to buy one just to do this.

So, I was thinking of hitting it with wet/dry sandpaper paper first but I don't have any idea of the thickness of the shower stall material - whether there is a thin coat of "finish" and color that I could accidentally sand through or whether it's a solid plastic/acrylic with color all the way through.

Anybody know?

I second that. Buff Magic is the best for removing stains & deposits. I used it on the walls of my shower and they look like new. It's especially good for removing rust stains.

You might also try the Mister Clean scrubbing pads, they aren't near as abrasive as steel wool pads. And for what it's worth, I'd never use steel wool pads because the residue left will rust - use copper wool.

With Buff Magic, you only need a good terrycloth rag.

Of course, then when your done with that, apply something like Rejex or Pro Polish and keep it looking like new and protect from from spotting for years!

Disclaimer: this is the sort of project it would never occur to me to do. We indulge in having a pro crew spiff up the interior every couple of months, and doing basic maintenance from there. But I bet the results will be spectacular!
