This is a follow on to my old thread that I recently tried to revive.
I gave a 2nd look today to a 52C galley up, this time with the Admiral/CBO (chief of baby operations). She liked the boat, but is interested in what is involved, beyond the obvious, in cutting the galley down and making the reefer undercounter. I am not master carpenter, but handy and interested in doing it. We both like the original wood which is in good shape. Also curious about making the galley and guest head deck teak and holly. The master head has already been doen, and it looks great.
The wood throughout appears in good to very good shape. It is dark, and a bit dull and likely needs some attention. I have no interest in refinishing with a high gloss, but would like to know what others have used to make it shine a bit more short of doing that.
Any info on these issues would be appreciated.
BTW, the mecahnical look good at first pass, 8V92s at 720 with 826 hrs since MOH done by the last previous owner.
