I promise to quit smoking before you get here. Just 2 weeks ago a neighbor on the B dock commented on how clean the burned and how nice the engines sounded. I will be kicking his but for that.
TH,
Just curious....price now up 70K? I think I remember that you listed at 239, and maybe 225 in recent past....
She is a beauty, and maybe this does mean you will keep her.
Paul
Actually the price is even cheaper as I just made a deal to purchase a 26' Southport so the next 225K can have her at a more than reasonable price......
Paul, You are right. Knotty maid was listed at an incredibly low $239k, and offered here for $225k. At first I figured the recent $84k increase to $309k reflected that maybe Tod had to invest some money into the boat while it was for sale which increased the boat's value. A search on Yachtworld tonight showed Knotty Maid listed with the broker as "Just reduced to $219,900--New Boat Owner" so I guess Tod got his new boat before Christmas after all!
Judging by his past generous offerings on this site for less than the listed price, $309k is probably just a misprint and dare I say it was meant to be $209k?!? The boat is insanely inexpensive at this price, and reflects a truly depressed market. Although I am glad I am not selling, I sure wish I were a buyer right now!
WOW!
I thought the other #s were way low for such a boat.....I didn't even consider it might be 209. I assumed a big cash infusion of some kind, or maybe became less sure about selling and wanted a higher price.
I took my 39 off the market a couple of months ago. My wife and I are considering moving back to the NE, and there are enough moving parts without selling and buying boats. I also got sick of dropping the price and feel she is worth more to me than I can sell her for. All I have to do is look at new boat adds disguised as magazine articles to reinforce that. I was hoping that Todd went through the same...as she really looks nice.
I can jsutify growing upa bit more before getting into a YF or big C.
Paul
Paul that is why I raised the price to $309K, we were 100K below all the others. I thought maybe we were too low on the price and people were afraid of too good to be true. At $219k there is not much room to allow for survey findings either. It is a heck of a deal but the market is in such poor shape it may not sell. Luckly we are not in a position that forces a fire sale. We have a purchase contract on the Southport but luckly it is contengent on the sale of the Hatt. Otherwise I would have a 6th boat to maintain.........
OOPS! I agree that it was horribly underpriced, but Tod you need to let your broker know that you have raised the price and have him change the listing because as of today, your broker has it reduced to $219,900 because the owner has his new boat!
TODD!!!!!! Whats up? can you wait another year? I think I can get myself in a position for that but now it just hurts to see it there at $180K. Are you still bringing her up to Canaveral?
Trying to get her to Canaveral but no one has slips available. We have decided to move her at the lower price and if she doesn't sell at that price I think everyone is NUTS!
My calculator shows that monthly payment to be less than my new house payment!! (by a lot) and the wife, since moving into the new house, is saying she misses the boat..even though we havent used it in a while.
DAMIT..And you are right everyone is nuts for not scooping that up.
It wasn't me. But if you are giving it away call me. I need it like a hole in my head but I could probably get the wife to move aboard and rent the house.
Either that or I will need a place to live after the divorce.
