Generators will move more air when running than you can get with ventilation. It's after they're shut down that things get hot. Don't count on the 50 year old designs to take new technology into account either. But blaming the engineer to show how smart you (think you) are does pad the ego.

Hot spots cause steam pockets. The antifreeze and pressure keep them from occurring. The engines have warmer and cooler spots and the temp y9u see on the gauge does not represent all the engine parts temp. Just the coolant measured at a certain paint.

They're not 900 series. Those are absolutely 1000s. Big difference .

Zipwake is the answer. My 41c has a full width wedge across the back and it brings the bow down but no adjustments. If your adding something new zipwakes would be the best choice. Ive sold and installed a few and love them.

Will they take liveaboards? Probably not an issue for some I can think of.

Call your dealer to explain what they sent you. That's their job. If they can't do it return the unit and get one from someone who can and will. Or try the plug and pray option.
