Can you tell me what this is?

2000 75’ CPMY Hatteras. I can’t figure out what this is. It is bolted thru very well, strong enough to tow or be towed. Thought at first to hold a flag but the flag bracket is on the aft deck. The dia. Of the hole is 1 1/4” maybe. Just trying to figure the boat out. Thanks for any help.

Sorry Robert, I checked the Harbor Freight sale paper and the sale is over, too bad. I will let you know when the next one starts, ha ha Simmons Polishing in Hope Mills NC did the work for me. A nice guy that works out of the garage behind behind his house. If anyone needs his number let me...

Slowly putting the shiny parts back together

So now that we have the boat out of the shop I am trying to put all the hardware back on her. Going between buying new parts (many from SAMs) or having to refinish and re-chrome some. Just got my pilot house door handles back and now working on putting them together. I think when we are done...

Finally Out of the paint booth

A few more, we are sitting in the yard awaiting the mechanic to help me with the engine startup process. Hoping to be in the water and on her way home by the end of March.

Finally Out of the paint booth

Well after a couple of hurricanes, many work demands, and life in general we are finally out of the paint shop. (3 yrs in the shop! hard to believe) I wasn't certain we would make it out at times. We still have lots of parts to install on the boat but we are close to being done. The focus now...

Reviving the "Finally in the paint booth thread"

I finally got back to Beaufort and a little work has been done. I will say that driving back thru Morehead and Beaufort there was more damage from hurricane Florence to be repaired than I thought. So there are lots of people still putting their lives back together. The davit is installed, got...

    A victim of Florence

Guys, A friend of mine called me yesterday and said he has acquired a 1977 58 Yachtfish that is a victim of Florence. It was run up the cape fear and anchored. Apparently it rode out the storm but broke the anchor loose and settled to the side of the river. As the water receded it rested on its...

    Guys you ain’t seen nothing

Re: Guys you ain’t seen nothing we visited several small towns, enjoyed the scenery and the food. Very picturesque and quaint marinas in many towns. Sanary Sur Mer We really liked Portofino Fairly certain I saw a couple more Hatteras' over there but couldn't get close enough to take any pics.

    Guys you ain’t seen nothing

Guys you ain’t seen nothing Sitting here in Monte Carlo all day on a 500 ft sailboat, watching all the 100-150ft private yachts dock. And those are the small ones, there are numerous 180-250 ft yachts here. They dock completely different from what we do and back these things in spaces that look...

Reviving the "Finally in the paint booth thread"

one of the things I am most excited about is the handrails modifications. We wanted more lighting on the foredeck and have not been happy with the several options we have tried prior to going to the paint booth. I have routed a 1/4" deep channel a little under 1/2" wide on the bottom of the...

Reviving the "Finally in the paint booth thread"

Also got the teak covering boards done on the port side. Still have to put a 1/2" roundover on the edges and then we will finish those. It seems to take forever to fit these pieces into place and glue down. I had to take time to at least cut in the hawse pipe hole and see what its going to look...
