My sons down in Mia training on the 767 for Atlas cargo. I'm headed down and looks like we're going to the show. Anyone else going?

I'm contemplating Sunday / Monday, haven't made decision yet. Brett

Ed, Susan (the Mermaid) and I are planning to go on Friday.

Decision made: going Sunday afternoon and Monday. Brett

Post some photos, y'all, please. For those of us headed elsewhere and who can't get to the boat show, unfortunately. Maybe next year.

It's kinda hard to do anything with the boy when school is going, but I'm always up for a meat and greet. I don't know why I didn't think to book us a tour when we were down your way last summer, but we'll probably head that way again when school is out. It was a nice break from our usual Florida trips.

Haven't decided yet on when to go. We are in the middle of such a nasty cold snap down here! Thursday will be the least crowded, Friday and Saturday are forecast to be a milder weather days.

Thursday.....Frigid with a high of only 62.
Friday.........Milder with a high of 69.
Saturday.....Comfortable with a high of 73.
Sunday.......Cold again...High 64.

I've been shivering in Miami this week babysitting "Wilson the Cat", who happens the be the master on board a stunningly nice 76 Lazzara. The little monster is SO SPOILED!

And yes, New YOLO replaces the 58' 1985 Hatteras YOLO which closed last week.

And for anyone who can't make the Miami Boat Show this week, Remember, the exceptional Palm Beach International Boat Show is next month. Thursday March 17-Sunday March 20.

I attended last years Palm Beach show for the first time and was amazed at how nice it was. A magical experience for me as after the show closed I trapsed across Alligator Alley to Naples and the next morning was jaw dropped at the astoundingly nice 65 foot Viking CPMY that was to become our own within a month.

How does the Miami show compare in size and typical boats displayed compared to Palm Beach show ? For example, at Palm Beach I saw some used Hatteras and trawlers where, if nothing else I gained some good "interior decorating tips" Could the same be as likely to happen at the Miami show ?

As he should be! I've got a spoiled rotten kitty on board, too. I was fostering him for Animal Services and ended up being a "foster fail." I adopted him.

Nothing wrong with a little putty cat. I have two Australian Shepherds that do not like dolphins they bark crazy when one shows up...They are always on the look out.

Family and I are flying down on Saturday morning and staying until Wednesday. I wanted to see the new 45EX but it appears as though all the tours are booked (based on Hatteras's FB Page). Would love to see some of the members there.

I can't imagine it being difficult to get a tour of whatever Hatt you want to see at the show as I've never known it to be by appointment only. Not even on the high dollar motor yachts.

They let Freebird and i at the same time on the new GT without appointment. But we were shaporaned because of freebird. If i remember correctly Steve Mcferson got us on.

I think I may call down there and see if they can "fit me in". I have been wanting to see this vessel for sometime, and it was really my motivation for making the trip. Nonetheless, I am sure I will find plenty of neat things besides this to see there..

i have never had to make an appointment at FLIBS to get aboard any of the boats at the hatteras display. just give them your postal zip code so they can give you the proper color sticker for your area and a salesman from that area will take you aboard

I'm sure serious buyers will be able to get priority on the times and tours. Tire kickers may be given less access.

I called down to Hatteras, and was put in touch with Connie and Troy. They were able to set us up an appointment for Monday. I can't wait to see the vessel!

Hi Milacron. All 3 South Florida Boat Shows are pretty similar. My least favorite show is Miami, because the displays are so separated from one another. Lauderdale has the most mega yachts. I just personally prefer Palm Beach because of easy access with nearby downtown parking and restaurants, plus all of the displays are in one central location. Palm Beach is even adding 20 more mega-yacht slips for this year. It is very much on a par with the Lauderdale show in my opinion.

Miami Weather update. Friday and Saturday temps now predicted in the mid to upper 70s. I'm going Friday.

No, we just acted like we were supposed to be there and boarded the boat like everybody else. I think we were soon alone given you took off your shoes.
