Hi Milacron. All 3 South Florida Boat Shows are pretty similar. My least favorite show is Miami, because the displays are so separated from one another. Lauderdale has the most mega yachts. I just personally prefer Palm Beach because of easy access with nearby downtown parking and restaurants, plus all of the displays are in one central location. Palm Beach is even adding 20 more mega-yacht slips for this year. It is very much on a par with the Lauderdale show in my opinion.

Miami Weather update. Friday and Saturday temps now predicted in the mid to upper 70s. I'm going Friday.
Thanks pizzaz...I was very impressed with Palm Beach show so guess I'll wait for that one then...plus it's a tad closer to me via four wheeled contrivance than Miami would be.

The 100MY and 70MY in the show in owned so they're limiting traffic to qualified people. All the other boats should be open to everyone though
Will be at the show on Saturday and Sunday running around with a client.

I already spent all my money getting Fanfare ready for her 50th birthday. So I am NOT going to the Boat Show in Miami lest I be tempted. However, we have just arrived in Ft. Lauderdale and are preparing the boat for the Bahamas. I'm practically knocking off for the weekend. If anybody wants to get together, our U.S. boat phone is 314-960-5930. (In a week or so our Bahamas number is 242-470-3027 for any of us over there.)

Have a great time at the Show. Say Hi to Steve for me.

Where's the boat in Lauderdale?

My wife, son, and I went yesterday {Friday}. It was a beautiful, warm day and the show was the best show I have ever attended. We took a water taxi from Dinner Key Marina which is walking distance from our condo. The taxis are free and run from several Miami locations with plenty of boats. Don't even think of driving to the show. The best show I have ben to by far.

I like that it's all in one location. Previous years I just ended up at the in water and never left there.

The water taxi from the grove is indeed convenient for local residents but from what I ve read elsewhere transportation has been a nightmare so far with long lines to poorly marked water taxi and buses stuck in traffic. Average time Between the show and parkings has been well over an hour. Each way.

And it's only going to get worst this week end with higher attendance and major gridlock around the grove because of the art festival, and traffic backlogs all th way to us1 and brickell

The bulk of th show parking is at marlin stadium in little Havana and at the AA arena... It's a long way !
