  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
Not Currently A Hatteras Owner
Spent Saturday and Sunday at the brokerage show. Crowds were not as heavy as in previous years
but I was told opening day was busy. Many new boat manufacturers now are exhibiting at the
" brokerage" show.
Is it just me or has the brokerage show morphed lately into the superyachts show, only one or two
classic Hatts in show. It was great to see restored Hatt hull #1.

Here are some interior photos and the story placard for Knit Wit, hull # 1salon.webpSalon2.webpHatt story.webp

She looks good. Center helm is interesting. Thanks for the pics.

Thank You so much for those photos. Knit Wits still looks SWEET!

I've found the Palm Beach Boat Show usually offers a wider "variety" of brokerage yachts...along with pretty much the same new boat, mega yacht and "everything else" displays. Keep it in mind for the end of next month. It's an excellent show.

probably not many classic hatts in the show because of the cost associated with transporting/travel expenses, and the cost to display in the show itself. about 8 years ago ft. lauderdale show was 5000.00 dollars just to place a boat in the show.

Nice photos- very well done. Do you have any exterior shots of her, by any chance? I would love to see them.

I didn't, sadly, but found this online. One of the prettiest boats in the show.

From the Miami show on Thursday.

Thanks Eric. I'm not a "facebooker" so I wouldn't normally look there. But, after I followed your link I found the post hull #7. What a great looking makeover. There are 4 pics there, so make sure you scroll through all of them.

My wife and I went to the show opening day Thursday. By the afternoon, crowds were heavy, but there was a good selection of vendors. We then went over to Collins Ave and walked the entire length and it does appear to be turning into a manufacturers event with most of the brokerage being megayachts.

We stopped at Hatteras and toured the new 60' and while beautifully finished, it does feel small inside for the size. However, all boats should have an engine room like that one. Wow! They had the 100' Mr. Louie and a new 80' named Beer Break, owned by the largest beer distributor in Texas.

Toured Knit Wits and the factory did a great restoration. It looks like they ripped everything out and totally rebuilt it. It even smells like a brand new boat and has some modern appliances & products.

Yeah - it seems like modern yacht designs have lost a lot of interior space by losing aft staterooms. It is really nice to have the salon open up to the cockpit at water-level though.

Speaking of new yacht designs -- looks like Hatteras has quietly released a shrunken 100rph:

That is a good looking MY. Finally...

Must have a new designer that knows how to draw a straight line.

Great looking. Maybe the stepped sheer will be a new signature?

Hmmm…

Well, as everybody's mom says, "if you can't say anything nice…" (and I can't) ;)

Nice running shoe

You gotta hand it to the advertising department at Hatteras... For 40 years they have created the most enviable cocktail party scenes. Those guys have life by the balls!!!

Certainly an improvement in style over the bubble bow, Euro trash look of recent Hatteras MYs. However the large windows by the waterline are an accident waiting to happen.

I m not a big fan of windows close to waterline but they have become very common. If there is one builder I d trust to make them strong and leak proof.... It s hatteras! Heck if sea ray, marquis or mutt makes them, hatteras can make them safe:)

Wouldn't hull side windows be coated in salt spray crystals and yucky to look through anyway? Prefer opening porthole style that wind can blow through, they are small and waterproof, and you can see out when open.
