In my totally biased opinion, owning one myself, the prettiest boat Hatteras ever made- the Series I 36 convertible. What a sweetheart. And what a nice example of the model, too.
I've run across 2 different SF with full towers and no outriggers. One even had a nice Release Marine chair on her. Looks real strange without the riggers.Looks naked with out riggers tho.

Hi All
I had no idea spreaders were so expensive. When we purchased the boat it had a basically new pair and I just tossed them
Wasteful on my part.
I think Rockaways were cast like that too.Geez that's a lot of money for outrigger parts! Especially since they're mostly just aluminum tube.
We couldn't get parts for our old Rybovitch outriggers. But we saved a bunch by buying arms from Lee's and making new hubs. Just break out your trusty Bridegport and some 4" round stock:

It took some research to figure out that the originals with the cast spreaders were Rybovitch. Of course, no parts are available anymore. New vs. Old:

Even fits the latches for the sliders that allow us to sneak under bridges:

See, simple and inexpensive replacements using ordinary shop tools.![]()
I didn't know Rockaway made outriggers too. I can't say for certain, but I'm fairly sure the sliding back leg is Rybo.
