People who only look at price screw value added service providers like Sams. You just are willing to forget about them as you justify being a cheapskate and taking all you can.

Although I don't support the personal attacks, I have to agree with Scott on principal. I bought cutlass bearings from Sams a few years ago even though I could have bought them somewhere else cheaper.

I knew that if there were any problems, Sams would stand behind them. They even gave me credit for some window rubber that I ordered several years ago. It was the wrong size, but I never realized it until I finally got around to doing the project. I didn't expect credit, but they were more than happy to take it back and get me the proper material. You can't put a price on that kind of service.

Sams is great resource, especially for those owners who are not intimately familiar with Hatteras and the proper maintenance of their boats. Many owners don't have the technical or mechanical know how to get the right part without the support of the experts at Sams. Thanks Sams!

I totally agree Sky. Steve helped me solve some issues and he was my first choice to ensure I had the correct parts and he even gave a few deals that couldn't be matched anywhere else.

However, personal attacks are not needed when questions are asked. Several of my Hatteras friends left this forum purely because of the intimidation.

Thanks. I also sort of dropped out due to certain people and only come back to see if I can help out nicer people and when/if a question arises...exactly what this community should be about...not insults and inappropriate social behavior hidden behind the anonymous nature of the internet. If we have a bad attitude with each other, imagine how Hatteras owners look to the outside. It looks like we are childish snobs.

And I agree...we would be lost without Sam's for Hatteras specific stuff. I am a customer for life. I have in the past and will continue to use Sam's for non-standard items. THANKS SAMS!
