Yard recommendation

Can anyone recommend a good yard in relative proximity to Montauk, NY? We've been using Montauk Marine Basin, but as some of you might know, they found Carl Darenberg in the drink Labor Day weekend, RIP. People had a lot of good and bad things to say about him, but he was the ONLY guy out here that made an effort to keep our business and actually responded to calls and emails.

Anyway, I think we need to expand our search out of Montauk to find a good full-service yard. I would like to have the aluminum (wing doors, davit, etc) re-painted this winter season, so need a place with room to work and access to good tradesmen. Anyone ever use brewer in greenport?

I would look at some yards across the Peconic in Greenport, Jack Brewer has two yards there. Also around the Gut in Mattituck, The Mattituck Inlet Marine Center, has some big sheds and can do winter paint projects.

Never used either facility as I am up the Sound on the North side but know people who have good things to say... for whatever that is worth.

I know the south shore fairly well and don't have a single recommendation of a yard that could do paint work, There is a guy in Lindenhurst I think that does some travel and Ive seen some great work from him called Raybo Marine. No idea if he would make the run that far east... suppose its all about how busy he is and what arrangements could be made for travel costs.
