Wiper motor 1981 61' CMY

Does anyone know how the actuator arm attatches to the output shaft of the wiper motor. I thought that the motor was trashed but found that the shaft that goes from the inside to the outside has snapped off. It appears to have a nylon bushing on it but I can not see it to know how it comes off. Is it perhaps a push on friction type fit? Any help will be greatly appreciated!! An aside ,don't buy any electronics on Ebay I spent fours hours tearing apart my lower helm overhead console and found the "certified to work," "in perfect working order", Northstar GPS I bought is inoperable.............Pat
