Hatteras Model
43' DOUBLE CABIN (1970 - 1984)
I have a 1980 43ft double cabin and want to know how the front
center widow frame can be removed. Want to replace window frame seal
I am speaking about the center window that tilts open- want to remove entire frame -glass and all

Not sure about your model, but on mine, the frame does not hold the windshield glass in. The glass rests on a bead of butyl rubber, surrounded by sikaflex caulk, then a rubber trim piece is inserted. So to remove, remove the rubber trim, dig out the caulk, then use a sawzall with a flat blade from the inside to break the butyl rubber bead (good luck wit dat) the frame itself is similar, it rests on a butyl rubber bead, and is screwed down. So to remove, remove the screws, and break the butyl bead (and again, good luck wit dat)
