....And be crushed by the crowd and the last to leave.

There are only two ways out of there, across the 3 mile bridge to Pensacola (always backed up) and the skinny road back to Navarre.

So get there early and leave early just like any other big public event, right?

Really, the crowds are huge and the infrastructure at the beach can just barely support it, sometimes the beach is overwhelmed. Emergency vehicles sometimes cannot get around or out of there.

Land is a waste.

Go by water, go inside, anchor just inside - there will be a LOT of boats.

You can anchor outside but if its rough, no fun. Inside, no problems.

Good thing I ordered the amphibioius package on the Caddy huh? :D

Made it to Greeneville, AL and stayed at the same Hampton that Ryan and I stayed en route to the Gulf coast rendezvous. I have a few more folks to contact who live in the area, but one way or the other, we'll see the show.

Heck, seeing as how they practice the entire routine on Friday, we may try getting into the thick of things then and avoid the rush on Saturday while watching from a greater distance. Meanwhile, anybody want to get together for dinner/drinks afterward at some point?

Hey Greg, wanna bareboat charter your 45 for a few hours?

For you.....Hmmm, let me think....

Maiden Voyage...
Trip to TN on one engine....

Oh my, Sure.

Seriously, I would if I could. You always have a place on my boat. However she's not ready to go out, she's down for maintenance.....again.

Looks like the only time I'm not booked is Friday night.

Made it down in plenty of time to catch today's practice. Man, it was AWESOME! I'll post some pics later... maybe.

Hope you guys had as much fun on water as we did on land. We rented a couple of scooters yesterday that put us front and center at Casino beach. Then we had lunch at Crabs on the waterfront and watched the practice show from there under a nice shady roof with a ceiling fan and a waitress.

Judging by the non-stop, bumper to bumper traffic we've seen for the past 4 hours here on Navarre Beach, I'm glad we decided to pass on today's show. The pics I took were kind of fuzzy, but I got some great video. Maybe I'll figure out a way to post it if anybody's interested.
