We will be heading to the Miami area next week and need suggestions on where to either tie up or anchor so we can see the city, without killing the budget. Thanks

I don’t think Miami and budget can be used in the same sentence

Dockage is no worst in Miami than any popular area on the east coast. The problem is availability

Options are limited to 4 or 5 marinas that are always full.

Miami Beach Marina
Sunset Harbor marina
MiaMarina at bayside
Sea isle
Dinner key marina
Grove harbor
Prime marina

The last 3 are in coconut grove which is in my option the best area. Miami Beach is a big crazy especially with spring break, downtown is yucky.

Dinner Key is where I ve been for the last 19 years. I love the grove. Many restaurants, stores all within walking distance and safe.

I m pretty sure dinner key is full right now, but call them and remind them that La Balsita is in the Bahamas till at least the end of the month so the pier 7 tee head is available for transients. I told them before leaving but sometimes they forget…

Thanks a lot Pascal, I will try that. John
