Re: What’s up with this?

Not mine. My Dad and his brother built it at their boatyard. He passed away a couple of years ago. It just caught me wrong. I tried to edit my post but it wouldn’t let me. I’ll reach out to the moderator.
No need. I’m not that thin skinned and was messing with you.

Had I known there was a personal connection to anyone on the forum, I would have never commented.

Re: What’s up with this?

Why would you put the flybridge helm all the way in the back like that?

How do you see anything in front of you unless it's 500'+ away?

Re: What’s up with this?

The man that the boat was built for fished in open water quite a bit. The console was set back so you can see the cockpit.

Re: What’s up with this?

I didn't know Hatteras made crew boats.

Re: What’s up with this?

I figured the upper station location was for fishing and the original helm cables reached without mods. Shame to see people so freely criticize a boat with so much love and time invested. The hull could have just as easily wound up in a grinder. You have a wide hull with low center of gravity. This design would run really well in the northwest or Alaska. I keep coming back to it with more appreciation each time. Nice boat!
