Forgot the name of it and my parts guy isn't finding it. Anyone remember or did it change or go away?

thanks

Powercool I think.

The NAPA brand is Napa Cool.
Good Luck

Powercool is the Detroit antifreeze/coolant. You can get it premixed 50/50 or buy it straight and mix with distilled water. Nalcool is an additive you can use with distilled water but has no freeze protection. Penray makes a cleaning product for descaling the cooling system. I've used the 2 part cleaner with very good results. I've used the straight Powercool for over 12 years now. Once the system was cleaned, I never had an issue again. Detroit claims the powercool can be recharged and used for many years, providing the cooling system is clean.

There are two different Powercool products. One is Powercool and one is Powercool Plus or something like that. The better one is supposed to last longer.

I've had good experience with a 50/50 mix of nacool/ distilled water. Flushing this week and will use same. Temps rock steady at 180. Great lakes area.

I just drained the coolant from the mains today. For the first time in my life, the fluid I drained was as clear and pink as the new stuff I'll be putting in! I know that I should be happy that the P.O. maintained the coolant, but I can't help but think that I am doing a service that is not yet needed, especially when I think of the possibility that I may have gotten rid of the 6-yr extended life coolant (ELC) for the regular 3-yr heavy duty pink stuff! Oh well, at least I will have a May/2011 date noted in my maintenance log as a baseline.

I was going to pick up the Cat coolant flush in the morning, but now since it was so clear and clean coming out I am having second thoughts about the flush. Then again, if what I drained was the 6-yr ELC, I do need to flush it because the two coolants are not compatible. Oh well! :)
