I've been on that boat a few times. Worth looking at, but not what I would call Bristol. But at a fair price, would be worth considering. Rather a lot of hours, as I recall.

This thread cracks me up. In Southern California the standard freeway speed is 90 in places where it's posted at 70, or 65, or 55, or....

Is that the boat Eric from Bayport Yachts sold a few years ago?

Yes, it was called Jolly Mon. It was okay but not what you would call great, Needed some maintenance caught up, as I recall. Might have had it by now, in which case it might be a good boat for Bob.

Similar in CT. That said, Given that I'll be the yankee with CT plates, I suspect that the cruise control will be fairly close to the speed limit. I'd hate to forfeit my right to vote and bear arms over a speeding "felony".

"Little Washington" brings back fond memories as my grandfather pastored a church there. As for the NCHP, those folks have no sense of humor, and the old, "9 you're fine, 10 you're mine", deal never caught on with them. My late uncle was a NC State Trooper in the days of big Plymouths with wedge thingies sticking up from the hood and VASCAR that would ruin your day. 15MPH over will definitely get you in front of a judge.

If you head over to Morehead City, you need to check out the Sanitary Fish Market, just to say you have. I think it's pretty much a requirement for ever having been to Morehead. Lots of memories there too as it's been there forever. Hope the boat turns out to be "the one".

Actually, Randy, it was more of a sophomoric appreciation of the name of the town than the genuine attractions.

Well how was New Burn and the 45c?

Maybe no news is good news and the OP is busy drawing up an offer and making any necessary arrangements?

I think that WAS the review!!

Very nice boat. At the risk of jinxing this, we came to agreement on the deal pending survey and sea trial next week. I am optimistic. Interior is pretty much original and in nice shape. Boat had a major refit back in '01, including new Cummins QSM11s at 535hp, paint job, new triple spreader outriggers and a whole lot more. I'm crossing my fingers that nothing serious comes up in the survey.

Awesome to hear that!

She will be fine, Congrats.

I had to do something to de-suck-ify 2020.

Congratulations the pharmacy business must be doing well.

Yes. We sold the business files to a local supermarket in Aug of 2019. Thank God before Covid.

Given a choice between fishing and working, it would take a few nanoseconds to decide.... if that long.

Late into this, but as a former North Carolinian, congratulations on buying in New Bern. You're close to some amazing scenery and places, but you have to take the time to venture forth. In Beaufort, there's a lot of history, Harkers Island this time of year is pretty dead. Morehead City/Beaufort/Atlantic Beach also has Fort Macon, which is a nice afternoon walking tour in nice weather. I recommend Queen Anne's Revenge Pizza in Beaufort, and there are several great restaurants in Morehead City. If you go down to Wilmington, there's the battleship North Carolina, some terrific restaurants and the Cape Fear Maritime Museum. If you make the trip out to the Outer Banks (New Bern is the gateway to the Southern Outer Banks, Cape Lookout), you can see Hatteras Lighthouse, and Manteo and Nags Head. That also puts you close in relative terms to Kitty Hawk and Jockey's Ridge Dune.
