Not surprised it happens more then you think. It has happen in Hawaii a few times that I know of. One time while I was there women had her legs broken up because of the whale landing on her during a Whale watching cruise.

I saw that piece on the news and they said the couple was being investigated for taunting the whale. Don't know what they were doing, but something surely annoyed that whale.
