Ways to clean Sea strainers

I get that fine hair on my AC strainer, too. To clean it quickly and without having to scrub it, I put a little Snobowl or "The Works" toilet bowl cleaner in a small trash can and then lay the strainer in there and swish it around. A couple of minutes later, and the strainer looks shiney and brand new with very, very little effort.

External strainers - I was skeptical at first, but now, "I believe!"
