Hallo every all !!
I have a question that worry me a lot.

Front threee windows and left/right side windows have some leaks of water and the panel wood are now damaged near the aluminium frame.

What you suggest? Probably it is necessary disassembled external and internal frame putting new sealing.

I would like make this job by myself but I am little worried about.

Are there some of you able to give me some photos or clear descriptions about this job??
My yard ask me 2,000 $ to do this job and it seems to be really expensive.

I am afraid I might not succeed to make a good job.

thanks to all

If you look on the specific Sam's Marine store web site, there is a multi page document on how to replace the glass or re caulk re spline the non opening Hatteras windows. Sam's Marine also carries all the material you will need to do the job. (vinyl spline, neoprene sponge) I did all of my windows last summer. Takes a lot of time, not a lot of skill. The most difficult part is cutting all the old sealent out. If for some reason you cannot find the document, give me you address and I will mail a copy to you. Repair this now. Leaking windows will only get worst.

Quick fix for the wood stain is to spray it with WD 40 and rub it in.

Cheers!
