  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
41' CONVERTBLE YACHT FISH (1960 - 1963)
I'm on the look out for a 34SC that I plan to restore. I'd prefer if the engines are diesel and that they function. The interior can be of any condition as I plan to restore it to better-than-original condition. I live in California so boats on the west coast are preferred.

Thank you.

If you have no luck...I believe my old 1963 34SC is either up for sale or going up for sale. It has 350ci's with Crusader conversions. Problem is on Lake Champlain on East coast next to the Canadian border.

Because there are so few available, my gut tells me that I'll have to find one out east and have it shipped back here. Do you happen to have any photos of the boat or someone that I could contact? On a side note, does anyone have a good suggestion for a trucking company specializing in boat transport?

Unless you have a burning desire...passion for one of these, I would think long and hard about shipping one of these 34's from east coast to west coast. It will probably cost you what you paid for the boat.......or more.

Nabstar.... Take Walt's advise, get a price first for trucking. It would be from Chazy NY. Weights and dimensions are on this site under model brochures. If not contact Hatteras direct. I had purchased the boat back in 2005 from a tug boat captain/pilot that worked NYC harbor. The survey that had been recently done stated it was the cleanest bilge area he had ever seen including new boats. Honestly you did not have to change clothes to work down in the bilge. He had used it specifically for fishing. Some of the unique features as follows:
1. 2 20lb fire extinguishers behind the sliding doors with round hatch covers for the megaphone to go directly to the engines. Not 1 but 2 Halon systems in the bilge.
2. Batteries moved from the bilge to the salon behind the walls. Sealed battery boxes with outboard vent intake and exhaust.
3. New aluminum tanks from Atlantic (?) tank company in NJ.
4. As only a bridge station, he put gauges and key starts in the bilge for when you are working on engines.
5. When he put in the engines they were both right hand drive. Boy did I challenge this. I ran the boat, docked it numerous times and he was right. You can not tell the difference. The bonus is carry 1 prop, less cost of the engine and all parts are identical on both engines.
Again check the trucking first, and if further interest will do my best to track him down.
