  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
46' CONVERTIBLE-Series I (1974 - 1981)
I noticed on my hand held VHF that when I turned onto channel 80,79,78 etc.. that it said "INTL" on the screen. When I turn on my VHF on the flybridge and turn to the upper channels, It says "USA". Is there a button or something I hit on the hand held, or is the same thing?

thanks,

They are not the same. Most offer USA and INT mode and you need to be on the USA mode in the USA if you want to have people hear your broadcast and vice versa. Check the manual. You may have hit a button.

Ah ha! Hold down the 16/9 key and press the WX button to scroll thru USA, CAN and INTL.....

Thanks!

Do you need to change to INTL for Canada and the Caribbean?? I spent a month in Nova Scotia in 2002, never changed to INTL, but I don't think I ever tried using my VHF there....
