VHF antenna coax question

I recently had to cut the coax cable going from the antenna to the radio. I would like to connect another coax to the short original one. The antenna coax is marked (RG58 A/U). I have coax I would like to connect to it marked (RG-6U 75 ohm) Is this ok to do or is this an impedance mis-match. If so what would be the correct cable to use?
Also is it ok to use regular TV connectors? I welcome your advice. Ron

Rf uses a 50 ohm cable and connector. Rg58 is 50 ohm. A pl259 connector is 50 ohm.

rg6 is 75 ohm and not the same.

Any marine electronics shop should have this stuff. Use the heavier coax, it lasts longer and works better. And use marine connectors, like the Shakespeare ones.
