In his defense he was probably over served. And the cars he sold with altered vin numbers only got him a few months in jail so he must have learned his lesson or they wouldnt have released him so quickly.

Except I don't think there was a bartender on "Time Out", right? The articles didn't mention anyone besides him and his girlfriend. Maybe she overserved him. Maybe it's all her fault.

This is all funny, because no one got killed, but the fact is, this guy is a habitual drunk and a thief. Not stupid, because you have to be smart to be an airline pilot, but clearly someone who gives in to all his worst impulses. Which is why he's where he is now.
 
Come on. All those dials? All those switches? You can't tell me they aren't smart. I know the AP does a lot of it, but you still have to get it up off the ground, land it, AND take over in emergencies. Plus I have to sit in the back. So don't burst my bubble, here. Just let me keep believing they know what they're doing.

I'm very disappointed in each of you! This poor Pilot obviously suffers from some form of mental defect,disability or illnes and I am absolutely positive he is receiving Social Security Disability payments from our Government to help him through these tough times. Now, he'll be yacht-less and Ferrari-less, and 27 year old Girlfriend-less, and we in our no-shame mentality make fun of this poor soul. But, at least his disability payments will continue, this is a great Country!

I'm sad a drunk douchebag can land a 27 year old girlfriend and I can't. Maybe I need to start drinking more and driving stolen cars :)

One of the articles I read said he was a retired Federal Air Marshall, then I started wondering which made me more uncomfortable thinking of him flying the plane or sitting next to me with a loaded weapon....Pat
