I hate to brign up the battled topic of vacuflush, but those of you who have installed 24V motors on your 32V systems and have had them for a while, what has yoru experience been? Are they still workin just like they should? no early failures?

Has anyone used the W(whisper) series motors in 24v?

unfortunetly, I have run out of spare 32v motors.

Have you tried getting those motors rebuilt at a starter/alternator shop?

Been there, but all but one is in such bad shape after all these years that they are not rebuildable. I have rebuilt them before, and the motor shop is trying, but the housings are in bad shape, and the worm drives int he motors are very worn. It is just not cost efective to re-engineer the them. I wish this was nto the case, as I could just have the armatures redone, but we have not had any luck in finding a suitable replacement in 32V.

We installed several Vacuflush heads almost 3 years ago and they have operated extremely well. All of the pumps are 24VDC operating on a 32V circuit. The local dealer/serviceman for this equipment told us that he has had 24V pumps working OK under the higher current for many years.

Diverdown,
Are these the whisper motors? or the origional 24v motors?

Don't know but will check when I get to the boat later today.

They will be either "W" or "S" series motors. Please let me know. Thanks.

Answer is "S" pump and "W" motor. Hope this helps.

That helps, it is exactly what i needed to know. Thanks for taking the time to look.
