Hatteras Model
43' MOTOR YACHT (1984 - 1987)
On my old Sentry charger there is two red wires going to two treminals marked ING.
I don't see anywhere for them to go on my new Mastervolt.

Thoughts?

They're hooked to your bank account. It's required to move the decimal for boat bucks:INGlogo.webp

But seriously, are you sure they don't say IGN, as in ignition, to shut off the charger while the alternators are charging the battery?

You're right! It is IGN.

Hopefully spcoolin will step in here because he knows a lot more about these than I do, but your Masterjolt probably has no provision for that. Hence, why modern chargers tend to cook batteries.

BTW, when you edit the ING/IGN thing you're killing my carefully orchestrated joke about marine finances.

Derek nailed it. To shut off the charger. The new Sentry no longer has them. Tape them up and forget it.
