ocean city winner had to forfit 2,8 million bucks for braking the rules. I read a news flash that the mate handed off the rod after fighting it for a short time. Do no know the full story but one thing for sure that could ruin your day
Them d@m DD i kept loosing about 1/4 gallon of coolant each trip off shore. Chalked it up to maybee just dissation. Then it got to be about 3/4 of a gallon last week it became 1 full gallon per trip.Today wasfind out why. I pumped it up to about 15 pounds of pressure it got down to about 4 within one hour. But no coolent any where. Pulled the dip stick and measured the oil pumped it up again after 3 hours gained some oil level. O Hello! Took of the inspection plates on the side of the engine the last one on the inboard side was the culpert. Coolant comming from around the piston it was wet. After removing the head about a 4 hour job. Found the liner was cracked after 400 hours. The head was not what you would call pretty. Pitted on the cylender where the water was coming out of. FROM WHAT I HEAR IT WAS A SAVING GRACE TO FIND IT. WATER WILL NOT COMPRESS HAD THE CYLENDER GOTTEN FULL OF WATER COUJLD HAVE BROKE CRANK OR DROKEN CONNECTING ROD AND THROUGH THE BLOCK. New cylender kit and a new head about 3 gran fix thank you boat gods.
