  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
53' MOTOR YACHT (1969 - 1988)
I am going through the manual where it discusses the Air Cutoff. I have 2 T-handles at the Pilot house about knee high that when pulled I believe they shutoff air to the engines and stop it running. I tested them last week to ensure free movement but I cannot find in the manual if there is a reset back to normal.

I know when pulled they lift a little mechanical rocker on top of the engine which goes back down when released so I am not sure if a reset is needed. Nothing found on YouTube.

Any help would be appreciated

Thank you

There is a little lever on the side that you push back and they will click open.

Yeah you have to manually reset them in the engine room, you have to rotate the little metal lever on the intake until it clicks back into place. It wouldn't have been a mystery for you long, the engines wouldn't have started until you put those back in position.

I want to express my thanks to all that posted to help me. I was able to reset the Cutoff and the engine started right up. Luckily, I did not crank it for too long with the blowers closed, as I have read that it can cause damage.
